This is cultivated farmland. It is not marsh. The land is flooded for rice growing, then cut and drained before the rice is harvested. Therefore, it is wet only if we have rain. Field boots or short boots will do most of the days. However, when you lay down on damp or wet ground, it would be more comfortable to have waders. But these can be very hot on warmer days. One suggestion is to bring short rubber boots and a drawstring two piece rain suit. Rain coat also comes in handy to use to sit on as the ground is wet and damp. It can get cold here, but it is usually temporary lasting for a few days after the passage of a front. It would be advisable to bring some cold weather clothing just in case.
